JALOUSE COMPULSIVE

For the 2006 edition of the Art Basel Miami Beach, Jalouse Magazine is proud to assert their support for young artists by organizing an exhibition during a unique and long evening event. March 3rd, 2007 will find this party at another important art venue, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

Among the selection orchestrated by Marc Elkiner and the young designer Haley Mellin, many of the artists including Nate Lawman Aaron Young, RyanMcGinley and others circulate in New York and have already built strong reputations for themselves in Manhattan and on the international scene. “The list goes without saying. It is made up of a small group of friends whose reputations were built at the same time. So we jumped at the opportunity to show their work all together.” they insisted.

Their success in America will stretch all the way to Paris, for the unique party at the Palais de Tokyo, as long as the evening lasts.

Once the doors to the art center have been shut, the works will be ‘hung’ on the web, in the Jalou Gallery cyber world. With this first exhibit, JALOU GALLERY intends to offer a new look at contemporary art exhibitions.
